14th Annual Reynoldstown Wheelbarrow Festival

From 6am Catherine:

The 14th Annual Reynoldstown Wheelbarrow Festival is scheduled to take place June 13, 2009 from 11:00 am- 11:00 pm in the heart of the Reynoldstown Neighborhood.

Now in its 14th year, this year’s free festival is sure to be the biggest in the festival’s history, with an incredible music line-up composed of a diverse group of Atlanta’s finest local acts including Little Country Giants, Smoky’s Farmhouse Band, Newberry Jam, The Dot Line Projekt, Kahlee Star, Young Antiques, Beverly “Guitar” Watkins, and Sandra Hall.

In addition to the fabulous music line-up, the event will host a parade, an arts and crafts market, a kid’s camp, and a health fair. Various food and beverage vendors will also be on-site during the entire festival.

The Reynoldstown Wheelbarrow Festival and parade has become a beloved tradition in one of Atlanta’s most historically significant in-town neighborhoods. It is the major fundraiser for the Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League and proceeds will be used to fund home repair in the community for the elderly, low-income, and physically and mentally challenged, as well as provide funding for the neighborhood public safety committee.

Historic Reynoldstown is located just 3 miles east of downtown Atlanta north of Memorial Drive and West of Moreland Avenue.
